We currently have a number of group training programs available for you to choose from.
Our group programs run for 5 to 6 weeks. Each class is 1 hour in duration; plus you will receive homework to work through as you go.
We keep group class sizes small to ensure everyone’s needs are met.
Classes are held at a number of venues on Auckland’s North Shore:
– Pawz Perfect home base in North Albany
– Pets in the City in Silverdale
No previous dog training experience is required and we cater for all ages and experience levels.
Current vet verified vaccination certificate/booklet is to be sighted prior to class attendance.
Perfect Puppy Program
The Perfect Start for Your Puppy’s Training Journey
Our small group class is specially designed for young puppies aged 8–16 weeks (at the start of the program) who have begun their vaccination schedule. This course provides the ideal environment for your puppy’s key early learning and development—setting them up for success right from the start.
You’ll learn together through fun, games-based training that builds real-life skills and creates strong foundations for positive lifelong behaviour.

Puppy Potential Pathway
Continue Building your Puppy Foundation Skills
This group class is designed for puppies aged 4 to 6 months (at the start date) who may have missed out on a baby puppy class but still want to build strong training foundations. It’s the perfect opportunity to help your puppy develop essential skills, confidence, and focus during this critical stage of development.
Puppies joining this program should have received their final vaccination before the start of the course.
Classes are held in carefully chosen, secure environments to suit the needs of your growing puppy. Sessions take place either outdoors at Pawz Perfect’s home base in North Albany within the enclosed “Training Field” or indoors at Pets In the City in Silverdale. These settings provide safe, stimulating spaces for your puppy to learn and thrive.

Junior Jumpstart Journey
The Next Step for In-betweens
This group class is designed for young dogs aged 5 to 18 months who have completed their final vaccination. Designed to bridge the gap between puppyhood and adulthood with practical skills training. Ideal for dogs who are ready to build on their existing puppy skills and continue developing strong training foundations during their adolescent stage.
The course content expands on what is covered in our Perfect Puppy and Puppy Progress Programs, introducing new challenges and refining essential skills like focus, self-control, and good manners in real-world situations. It’s an excellent way to strengthen the bond with your dog while addressing any age-related behaviour changes that may arise during this period.
Classes are held in safe and controlled environments, either outdoors at Pawz Perfect’s home base in North Albany within the enclosed “Training Field” or indoors at Pets In the City locations in Silverdale.

Masterclass
This group is designed for dogs aged 12 months of age or older. This is an ongoing further development group class designed to advance your training. To be eligible you must have completed either the Puppy Progress Program or Junior Jumpstart Journey class.
These classes are held at either Pawz Perfect home base in North Albany or Pets In the City in Silverdale.
Cost is $99 per month to attend 2 classes each month at the venue of your choice.

TrickStars Academy is a comprehensive 6-week group class designed to take you and your dog from playful performers to polished trick pros. This structured program focuses on clear progression, consistency, and positive reinforcement—while keeping training fun and engaging.
Each week, you’ll learn new, achievable tricks that build on the foundations you’ve already established. You’ll also develop stronger teamwork, problem-solving skills, and creative handling techniques, all while reinforcing your dog’s focus, confidence, and love for learning.
Whether you’re working toward your next Trick Title or just want to wow your friends and family, TrickStars Academy gives you the guidance, structure, and support to succeed.
What to expect:
- Weekly trick themes with progressive challenges
- In-depth coaching and troubleshooting
- Video submission options for Trick Title assessments

Perfect for dogs who have completed TrickStars Toolkit or already have basic trick skills.
